 The New Moon/Solar Eclipse is on Wednesday, April 19 at 11:12 pm CDT in 29° 50' Aries. An eclipse is like a super new moon which can be auspicious for new beginnings. It helps to know what you want to begin, to know your most important goal. That way you can use tools like affirmation and visualization to energize each step toward your objective. Solar eclipses have a longer effect, too. A new moon has a one month surge of energy for a new beginning. A Solar Eclipse is considered to have a one year effect. Consider choosing an overarching goal along with a material one. I think of those type of goals as "capital letter words" like Love, Peace, Compassion or Wisdom. These overarching goals imbue your everyday aspirations with a spiritual intention.  The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are conjunct in Aries in the eclipse chart. There's a sense of adventure and an optimistic view of life. You may feel it's all about you, but everyone else is off on their own adventure too. No need for a crossing of swords. Just (mentally) say "hello friend, well met!" like two knights of the Round Table passing each other on the road. With the Sun and Moon in the 29th degree of Aries take a look at whether you have mastered what Aries is all about. Can you be assertive without being aggressive? Can you take all that life force from the Aries eclipse and channel it toward your goal without the energy draining into trivial activities? The eclipse is also square to Pluto at 0° Aquarius. The eclipse will trigger Pluto's urge for revolution and transformation. if you are trying to transform or improve yourself that can be very good. If your plan is to transform others to your way of believing or thinking, remember that Pluto can skew even the best of intentions toward the dictatorial or autocratic. Mercury is conjunct Uranus at 15° Taurus as it goes retrograde on April 21st. Try to listen attentively to others and not respond too quickly. In other words, be very careful about what you say and how you say it. Watch for some brilliant ideas that spring to mind or that you come across in the media. Write them down but don't act on them until after Mercury goes direct on May 15th.  The Full Moon is on Wednesday, April 5 at 11:34 pm CDT in 16° Libra, a sign of balance and diplomacy. Libra brings the ability to talk through issues in relationships without antagonizing the other person. Social occasions and meet-ups with friends create good conversations. If there are friends or family you haven't contacted in a long time, this could be a good astrologically indicated opportunity. Professional networking can open up new possibilities.
