The New Moon is on Saturday, August 23, at 1:06 am in 0° Virgo. Mercury ruled Virgo is good for projects requiring focused mental energy - studying, writing, teaching - and critical thinking in general. It is also good for projects that require strong attention to detail. Remember that it's fine to be fastidious about your own work, just recognize that not all folks have the view that everything needs to be perfect.
There is a 'yod' aspect in the New Moon chart. This is formed by Saturn and Neptune together in Aries making an inconjunct 150° aspect to the Sun and Moon in Virgo. And Pluto in Aquarius makes another inconjunct to the Sun and Moon in Virgo. Saturn and Neptune are sextile to Pluto. The Full Moon is on Saturday, August 9 at 2:54 a.m. CDT in 16° Aquarius. Aquarius is an air sign and the element air in astrology is the realm of both our thoughts and our communication. It's a great time for conversations where we exchange ideas with others. Great minds don't necessarily think alike. We don't have to agree on every point. It's the interweaving and play of ideas that can spark inspiration.
While the New Moon in Leo two weeks ago put the emphasis on leadership, the Full Moon in Aquarius puts our attention on the power of the collective. Reflect on what groups you belong to and how closely your goals and the goals of those groups align. Find fellowships where you feel at home. More at the link below.
